Tell me how am I supposed to breathe with no Eyre? (Sorry, Not sorry)
A brimming tale of a gothic love story along the misty lonely Moore, a dark restless man, and a shining heroine; then you must be talking about The novel “Jane Eyre,” by Charlotte Bronte.
It’s the perfect book to be swept away by if you're in the mood for a love story were the woman saves herself.
“Jane Eyre,” is a gothic novel, that expresses the ideals and the innermost workings of the social structure of women during the Victorian era. Jane represents the common woman of that time, trying to live outside of the confines of her role in society. It is a strong gothic novel of its time with a mysterious woman who haunts the English manor halls; while keeping tones of passionate romance and a realistic level head.
It is a personal favorite of mine and I return to the book time and time again to visit the main character of “Jane Eyre,” whose morals and inner strength reminds the reader to find the same within their selves. The main character is the main reason to read the novel as she has such a fire within her that will leave the reader speechless.
However, the romance is to swoon for as well, hehe.
This is the perfect book for a gal in need of a sensible romance novel. You can’t help but fall in love with the main character, swoon over the angsty Mr. Rochester, and a mad plot twist! Bronte’s, writing is easy to read and gives the reader an easy picture to follow through the voice of the main character as she goes from Orphan, governess, lover and finaly to a independent woman.
The book is long but if you have the time it’s great for a book report. (see more in my spoilers post on “Jane Eyre,” for more)
For fans of “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen and “The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer,” by Michelle Hodkin.
Hands down a five-star book.
